For the past nine months, Debora has been cooking up Baby Brazier inside of her. It’s almost impossible to believe he is now here, a living, breathing, pooping thing that has changed our lives completely. He has been on this Earth a week now and has grown so much already. Despite the screaming, he’s perfect and we both love him dearly.
We had struggled with a name for a long time but finally we have agreed and are happy with the name we’ve given him. I created a quick video introducing him in my sleep deprived state which you can view below.
Originally he wasn’t due until the 17th and then because he was breech we were booked in for a C-Section on the 10th. But taking after his father as he does, Harry doesn’t like to do anything to plan and I was awoken by Debora on the morning of the 9th yelling her waters had broken. I never realised that would be as dramatic as it is on the TV.
After a lot of waiting around for a slot, Harry finally arrived at 12.51 in the afternoon, weighing 7lbs10. He has completed our family and Beau absolutely loves him, constantly checking whenever Harry makes a whimper and cuddling up to both Debora or I whenever we hold him. He can’t wait to be able to play with him.
The long nights are hard, it’s true what everybody says, but I for one feel I’m adapting well to the new schedule. If that continues once I’ve returned to work we shall have to wait and see. That will have to be my new lunch hour, catching up on sleep!
For now we are the happiest we’ve ever been and are looking forward to our new adventure with our little hero.
